The Opportunity
We are seeking to engage an experienced Senior Mining Engineer for a full time position at our Abra Mine Site, located between the towns of Newman and Meekatharra in the Gascoyne Region of WA.

Key Responsibilities Safety & Leadership Actively promote, monitor and enforce safe work practices and demonstrate unwavering commitment to safety Provide direction and leadership to the Engineering team, developing high-performing teams Mentor engineering personnel in industry best practices and ensure comprehensive workplace inductions Mine Planning & Operations Develop mining strategies and forecasts in collaboration with geologists, geotechnical, and production teams Oversee preparation of short, medium, and long-term development plans and schedules Supervise preparation of mine development instructions and coordinate with contractors for optimal performance Manage compilation of Life of Mine plans and ensure safe, economic target delivery Analysis & Continuous Improvement Analyse and report on mining performance with weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify cost control opportunities Conduct incident investigations and ensure compliance with WA Mines Safety regulations What You Will Bring Qualifications & Licenses Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering Current "C" Class Western Australian driver's license WA First Class Mine Managers Ticket (highly desirable) Experience Minimum 5 years underground mining experience with technical and management skills Proven experience with long hole open stoping and paste fill operations Advanced proficiency in mine planning software (Deswik preferred) Demonstrated leadership experience with contractor management Skills & Attributes Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills High emotional intelligence with ability to handle complex situations under pressure Natural collaborative leader focused on team development and safety promotion Advanced computer literacy and thorough understanding of WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act What We Offer Opportunity to be part of a transformational journey Work with industry-leading professionals Competitive remuneration package Family friendly 8 / 6 roster Career development opportunities in a growing operation R eady to make your mark in Australia's mining industry?
