Shotfirer - Drill and Blast Position Overview : We are seeking a qualified and safety focused Shotfirer to join a high performing Drill & Blast team on a major open pit mining operation.

This role plays a vital part in supporting production and operational efficiency, while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Engineers, Supervisors, and Blast Crews to ensure safe and effective blasting practices.

Requirements : Current WA Shotfirer's Licence Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) Valid Class C manual driver's licence Minimum 3 years experience in open pit blasting operations Ability to successfully pass medical assessments and drug & alcohol screening Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory Key Responsibilities : Safely and efficiently carry out all shotfiring and blasting activities Handle, transport, and use explosives in compliance with regulatory and site requirements Support production goals by working closely with drill and blast teams Complete accurate and timely documentation for each blast Identify and mitigate risks in daily operations, maintaining a strong safety-first mindset Benefits : Competitive remuneration package, approximately $144,000 plus superannuation Fully subsidised Medibank Private Essentials Silver Plus Hospital cover Paid parental leave options (4.5 months full pay or 9 months half pay) Flexible FIFO or residential roster options including 8 / 6, 7 / 7, or 4 / 4 / 6 day rotations Diversity & Inclusion : As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, particularly women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Apply now or email if you have any questions.
