An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our Suburban Shopping Centre team to undertake the role of
- Assistant Operations Manager, Suburban South
- on a 12-month full-time contract with the possibility of extension and / or permanency.
- This junior position would suit a Graduate or someone looking to move into an entry level operations / facilities management role.
- Assistant Operations Manager will report to the Operations Manager Suburban South
- and will assist in the management of the operational, environmental and safety aspects of Hawaiian's properties to best industry practice, in line with legislative requirements and agreed business plans.
Essential Duties
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to, the following : _Establish and maintain good relationships with all tenants & on-site representativesAssist the Suburban Operations Manager with contractor management, including but not limited to cleaning, security, fire, HVAC and electricalUnder the direction of the Operations Manager, assist with the management of the on-site maintenance so that the presentation of the property is of the highest quality at all timesEnsure the Hawaiian OHS policies are diligently employed on siteAssist the Suburban Operations Manager with the gathering of quotes and assist in the delivery of project management of CAPEX projectsProvide relief coverage to the Suburban Operations Managers across the relevant sitesMonitor site access arrangements, including provision of a site-specific induction, as requiredComplete and / or assist with monitoring activities, associated with the environment, facilities and amenities, works undertaken by contractors and event delivery.Qualification Requirements
Trade Certificate or mechanical / operational "hands-on" experience is advantageous but not essentialKnowledge of mechanical services and electrical is advantageousKnowledge of building management systems including controlling lighting, security and air-conditioning is favorableStrong Microsoft Office experience and ability to quickly learn new systems with trainingValid Driver's License and vehicle essential.Preferred Skills and Attributes
