Commercial Manager, Perth

WSP have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join via our Perth office.

This is a key position, where the successful individual will play a major role in driving the commercial and strategic outcomes across the national business.

The successful applicant will be able to balance a strategic view, with a focus on commercial results and business processes, whilst maintaining an approachable, professional, and positive disposition.

• What you'll do
• Drive, champion, and report on business performance in delivering consistently high Quality of service for clients in all aspects of service delivery.
• Ensure alignment in operations and expertise with client needs, pipeline, and backlog.
• Commercial reviews and negotiations of contracts and other project documents across our broad range of projects and clients.
• Monitoring key contract risks and delivering contract administration rigor into our project management approach.
• Work with WSP's legal team on contract reviews to make sound commercial decisions on contractual risk.
• Assist in resolving commercial issues and linking with our project controls platform to ensure connection with the financial management functions.
• To be successful in this role you'll have
• Degree level qualifications in Contract Law, Commerce / Finance, Engineering, or associated discipline.
• Typically have 8+ years' experience.
• The ability to communicate effectively with staff (including on project sites), to ensure their awareness of key operational expectations.
• Experience in a commercial / contract management related role ideally within the infrastructure industry.
• Experience with various commercial models such as Alliance / Joint Venture / Design and Construct.
• Financial and numerical acumen to facilitate the interpretation of the P&L and ensure its accuracy.
• Contribution to strategy development, budgeting, forecasting and successful implementation.
• Sound knowledge of risk management processes and assessment, and risk mitigation.
