PM Nursing Unit Manager (Level 2) - JL Theatres at Sydney Local Health District. Employment Type : Permanent Part Time 20 hours per week. Position Classification : Nurse Unit Manager Level 2. Remuneration : $69.14 per hour + annual leave loading + Superannuation. Location : Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

About The Role

The Nursing Unit Manager role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of nursing / staff to ensure the provision of high quality patient and family centred care and nursing and / or midwifery excellence at unit / ward level. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a Nursing Unit Manager Level 1. Ideal Candidate

• Ideal position for Perioperative nurses with experience in coordination of emergency surgery, experience in managing elective case requirements and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Surginet scheduling, emergency and elective surgery KPI`s along with the ability to think critically in high pressure situations advantageous.
• Holds or working towards relevant post graduate qualification or equivalent work experience.
• Has experience in rostering; managing skill mix and care delivery models according to patient / service need.
