About the School

Pinjarra Senior High School (SHS) is located near the Pinjarra town centre and caters for students in Years 7 through 12, providing innovative programs and pathways to prepare students for success in tertiary education, vocational training, traineeships, apprenticeships and the workplace. The school focuses on innovating teaching practice to develop learnership, agency and to enhance student engagement in purposeful education, supported by its instructional model and the school vision, Growing Learners for Life.

The successful applicant will join an experienced Home Economics team that is collaborative and supportive and will work in high quality environments for both Food and Textiles aspects of curriculum delivery. The capacity to deliver Vocational Education Training (VET) qualifications for senior school students is highly desirable.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and dedicated teacher who provides students with purposeful and engaging learning experiences to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence in the Home Economics classroom. The role includes teaching across Food and Textiles and may involve delivering VET qualifications for senior students.
