The Opportunity
The Sales Manager Queensland plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between revenue generation, production and the customer centricity for the Queensland region. This includes maximising profitability across the region through the creation of an engaged and productive sales team; driving sales; actualisation of positive change and continuous improvement, and providing sound leadership to the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals. The role is key to implementing a culture of achievement and supporting constructive behaviours within the sales team.
Key Result Areas
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners
Work closely with internal / external customers, understanding their requirements, illustrating our capabilities, and promoting the full range of Viridian made to order products
Developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives, including setting sales targets, forecasts, defining market segments, and identifying growth opportunities
Collaborating with customers on pricing, contract terms and agreements, and providing market intelligence and trends on competitors
Monitoring and analysing sales performance metrics, such as conversion rates, pipeline management, and sales cycle duration
Developing and managing the sales department budget, including expenses related to sales activities, personnel, and resources
Providing coaching, guidance, support and motivation to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets
Ideal Candidate
Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales and business development in a similar role
Tertiary qualifications, with a degree in management or sales / marketing highly regarded
Experience in developing and management of sales forecasting and budgets
Demonstrated ability of growing sales in a B2B, industrial products, make to order business
Experience in developing customer relationships, revenue and EBITDA
Experience in leading and motivating a team, building a positive work environment, driving change and growing the business
Strong commercial acumen
Exceptional planning and execution skills
Sound knowledge with CRM tools and other data analysis tools
Excellent written and verbal communications; influencing and negotiation skills
