Assistant Project Manager - Defence

Due to exceptional growth and success, the RPS Project Management team are seeking motivated and qualified client-side Assistant Project Managers who (ideally) has previous experience / exposure in delivering projects within Defence or similar government Agencies.About The OpportunityThe position may be embedded within Defence, acting on behalf of the client or as Assistant Project Management / Contract Administration (PMCA), spanning across Capital Facilities & Infrastructure (CFI).The ideal candidate will have experience in Building and Construction, Infrastructure, Contract Management, Refit, Property Management and similar.

This position is based in Griffith, Canberra, with a fast-paced team, is a market leader in project management who specialise in the delivery of large complex projects.About YouA tertiary qualification in Construction, Architectural, Engineering, or similar is desirable.Experience / exposure with a range of delivery methodologies, in particular, Head Contract, Managing Contractor and Design and Construct is advantageous;Previous experience across Defence, including Defence writing skills;Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner;Proactive and able to think strategically;Australian Citizen and able to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.Ability to provide evidence to confirm vaccination status for COVID-19 to meet our client's vaccination requirements in accordance with government regulations.1+ years client-side PM or a PMCA experience in the industries as mentioned above and familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (would be preferable, but not essential)AIPM Accreditation or equivalent would be advantageous.What's On OfferAlong with a competitive salary, we provide a diverse and inclusive work environment amongst a market-leading project management team that specialises in the delivery of large complex projects; you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most influential and talented leaders in the industry.
