Disability Support Worker

Amiable Community Care provides a range of holistic support services including premier in-home care, community and social supports, & household tasks and more to residents of the Perth Metro area. • About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Disability Support Workers with excellent communication and listening skills, qualifications and experience desirable. As a Support Worker, you will need to be well organised, reliable, possess excellent interpersonal skills. Your qualities will include a caring, tolerant, and empathetic nature that demonstrates initiative and a commitment to delivering person-centred care and making positive impacts on the lives of others.

• Duties include but are not limited to
• Provide Domestic assistance in the service user's home including cleaning, vacuuming, mopping and dusting, linen changing as required.
• Assistance with organising tasks within the home, setting routine, keeping track of appointments.
• Taking initiative in accessing the community and participating in recreational activities
• Ensuring a varied program of social activities
• Light domestic duties & assistance with meal preparation
• Undertaking tasks outside the home such as shopping / transporting clients to appointments
• Providing emotional support and friendship
• Promoting and role modelling positive behaviours, learning experiences and skills development for clients.
• Requirements
• Minimum Cert III in Individual Support Disability (Desirable)
• NDIS Worker Screening (required)
• Australian National Police Check (required)
• First Aid (required)
• Experience and knowledge of NDIS and / or the disability sector
• Car, Drivers Licence and comprehensive insurance.
• Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination (required)
• Manual Handling Certificate

• 30.00 - $54.90 per hour
