Taranganba State School is seeking an inspiring and dedicated head of Department (Curriculum) to join our dynamic school leadership team. As Head of Department (Curriculum) you will work collaboratively with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider community to strengthen partnerships and enhance educational opportunities.

About Us

Taranganba State School, situated on Taranganba Road in the coastal township of Yeppoon is on the Capricorn Coast in Central Queensland. Yeppoon is in the Rockhampton Regional Council and is part of the Fitzroy-Central West Queensland Region of Education Queensland. Taranganba State School is proud to be one of the nine schools in the Capricorn Coast Cluster.

The school now boasts a number of facilities including an innovative digital teaching and learning centre - The Hub, along with a Performing Arts Centre. These facilities have allowed the school to enrich the curriculum and learning opportunities for our students.

The Taranganba school staff is committed to working in partnership with parents and the wider community to meet the needs of all of our students. Engagement teachers work with classroom teachers to support inclusive practices across the school working in classrooms with children and teachers.

About The Role

This role will include coaching, mentoring and capacity to model evidence based practices for staff and deliver achievement outcomes for all students. Through analysis and focus on data the Head of Department (Curriculum) will assist in informing the leadership team to develop a clear and consistent approach to curriculum delivery, moderation and assessment.

The successful applicant will drive the delivery of a responsive and vibrant curriculum for students from P - 6.
