Role Overview
The Classroom Teacher will support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential, teaching TAS – Food Technology and VET – Cookery and Hospitality (Food & Beverage).
Essential Selection Criteria
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS / VET.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents / carers and the wider school community.
Desirable Selection Criteria
Qualified to teach stage 5 & 6 Food Technology.Qualified to deliver VET Curriculum Frameworks; Cookery and Hospitality (Food & Beverage).General Capabilities
Well‑developed interpersonal skills.Well‑developed oral and written communication skills.Strong organisational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Qualifications
Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area(s).Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.Registered to teach with NESA.Working With Children Clearance
As this role is classified as child‑related work, a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
