Graduate Enrolled Nurse - Civic Donor Centre

Join Lifeblood (Australian Red Cross Lifeblood) as a Graduate Enrolled Nurse in a plasma donor setting. This program is designed to support newly registered nurses as they transition to professional practice, with a blend of on-the-job practice and in-centre online class schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interview potential donors to understand eligibility and suitability to donate
• Insert and remove needles safely to collect plasma
• Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
• Set up and manage plasma
• Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
• Occasionally lift between 9–22.7 kg
• Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday / Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts

Graduate Nurse Program

Support

During the 12-month Graduate Nurse Program, graduates are supported by the Graduate Nurse Manager and Lifeblood Mentor Community, who provide resources and coaching to help achieve professional goals within the first year of employment.

Eligibility

The Enrolled Nurse Program is offered to graduates who have completed a Diploma of Nursing or equivalent between June 2025 and December 2025.
