Griffith City Council is proactive and energetic and passionate about creating ongoing opportunities for our growing population.Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.WORKPLACE RELATIONS MANAGER (Permanent)The Workplace Relations Manager leads the workplace relations function, providing strategic and expert advice on complex industrial and employee relations matters.

This role is critical in shaping Council's approach to industrial relations through the development and implementation of policies, interpretation of legislation, and management of key organisational projects.

The position manages high-stakes workplace investigations, the negotiation and resolution of disputes, and engagement with unions and external consultants.

The Workplace Manager oversees performance management frameworks and organisational wellbeing initiatives to ensure a consistent, positive, and productive workplace culture.The Workplace Relations Manager supervises and mentors Workplace Relations staff, fostering professional development and ensuring compliance with Council's policies and legislative obligations.Qualifications : The successful applicant will require relevant qualifications in Human Resources related field or demonstrated relevant experience.

Proven leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and guiding a team.

The ability to work with unions, external consultants, and senior leadership.
