Overview

As the Senior Advisor : Gender-Based Violence, you'll play a crucial role in the University of Melbourne's Safer Community Program. You'll provide trauma-informed support to students and staff, lead interventions, and shape institutional responses to gender-based violence. This role offers you the opportunity to make a significant impact on campus safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Trauma-Informed Support : Triage and assess disclosures of gender-based violence, offering expert interventions to strengthen the wellbeing and safety of affected individuals
• Advise and Educate : Offer expert consultation to senior colleagues on managing disclosures and reports and deliver capacity-building workshops across the University
• Manage Critical Incidents : Escalate time-critical matters and those presenting safety or reputational risks, ensuring swift and appropriate responses
• Drive Best Practice : Contribute to team capability development and ensure alignment with the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence
