Job Description
Hanrahan Health is expanding the range of supports we provide to our clients by adding positive behaviour support. We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level who is driven to provide an exceptional standard of evidence-based, person-centred and outcome-focused positive behaviour support to NDIS participants.
On a daily basis you will be :
- Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and / or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

Current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential and MUST be able to provide the documentary evidence to prove thisConsiderable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and / or personally) is essentialFlawless report writing skillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal skillsValid driver’s licence and access to a reliable motor vehicleGenuine passion for working in the disability sectorQualifications
Completion of a degree level qualification in an allied health discipline is strongly preferredAdditional Information
