Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team focused on electrical asset maintenance of Council's Water and Sewer assets.
- Enhance service delivery and optimise asset management strategies.
- Utilise project management skills to oversee renewal and refurbishment projects, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Provide leadership in the maintenance of High Voltage and Low Voltage assets, resolve operational issues, and carry out asset renewal projects across Councils Water & Sewer assets.
About The Role
The role is pivotal in managing a team of electrical professionals, focusing on maintenance improvements, HV assets, and long-term asset renewal across Councils Water & Sewer portfolio. You will report to the Section Manager Maintenance Services and align with strategic, operational, and organisational objectives to achieve customer, economic, and environmental outcomes. This position emphasizes quality customer service and community value.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with ongoing professional development.Extensive leadership experience driving electrical asset management in a water and / or utility industry.Comprehensive experience managing Low Voltage and High Voltage assets, including High Voltage responsibilities.Ability to motivate, lead, and coordinate a team to achieve outcomes.Knowledge of Local Government and Water Industry guidelines and relevant legislation (Drinking Water Guidelines, POEO Act, Safe Work Legislation, Australian Standards for Electrical Equipment, Local Government Act).Current Class C Drivers Licence.Current Construction General Induction Card (NSW SafeWork) or equivalent.Current Confined Space Entry Certificate.Current Safe Work at Heights Certificate.Current HV Network Controllers certification (High Voltage Switching Operations; Certificate IV in Electrical Supply Industry - Network Systems or equivalent).Other Information
Salary up to $115.3k per year, with progression to a maximum of $133.6k plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance and 12% superannuation.Permanent full-time role with a 9 day fortnight; hybrid / flexible working (2 days from home, 3 onsite).Location : Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong.Leaseback vehicle provided for official duties and private use; alternative vehicle or vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week may apply when vehicles are unavailable.Other
