As a Director in our Risk Actuarial / Risk Modelling Services team, you’ll help clients manage financial risks through practical, data-led modelling and deliver actionable insights. Working with clients across banking, insurance and broader financial services.
What you’ll do
- Lead and deliver risk modelling for measurement and management, addressing industry challenges across general insurance, life insurance and banking.
- Design and run large-scale actuarial programs that improve how clients operate, reduce costs, manage risks and drive transformational change.
- Partner with banking clients to manage financial risks and produce crucial, data-led business insights.
- Collaborate with PwC teams and client stakeholders to scope, deliver and refine solutions in a human-led, tech-enabled way.
- Apply your risk management and actuarial expertise to drive key business outcomes, leveraging strong communication and a team-first approach in flexible work settings.
What we’re looking for
Retail or wholesale credit risk modelling and quantitative analysis including experience in modelling on topics such as provisioning (e.g. AASB 9), regulatory capital requirements (e.g. AIRB approaches to estimating PD, LGD and EAD), credit pricing and portfolio / customer analyticsExpertise in one of these areas will be valued : stress testing, end-to-end credit lifecycle, climate risk modelling, credit pricing and portfolio / customer analyticsPractical exposure to prudential regulatory requirements and their implementationExperience working on business development initiatives and building trusted relationships with clientsExcellent analytical and problem solving skills and enjoy working with clients to support on a range of projectsStrong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills10+ years of experience working in either / and banks, fintechs, private credit providers, consulting risk modelling servicesWorking well in teams and can support and develop more junior team members in a high-performing and caring work environmentYou hold a MSc / BSc (Hons) in Statistics / Actuarial Science / Financial Mathematics or Applied Mathematics as well as programming capabilities in SAS / R / Python / SQLWhat you'll gain
