About the Team
The Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy division builds capability across the aged care sector, empowers older people and oversees the Commission’s regulatory strategy and regulatory practices, as well as analysis to inform risk-proportionate regulatory activities. This division communicates to, and manages relationships with key audiences, including older people, aged care providers, workers and Commission staff. Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy is also responsible for the operational policies and procedures that underpin the Commission’s regulatory functions. This division is headed by the Deputy Commissioner Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy.
The External Communications Section leads delivery of a range of communications programs and initiatives to support the Commission’s role as the national regulator for aged care. Working within a team of communications professionals, the successful candidate will contribute to the programs, projects and other deliverables as required. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the development, delivery and evaluation of wide-ranging external communications strategies and activities.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised person to join our dynamic Communications team. The Communications Officer will contribute to the delivery of a busy reform communications program. You will provide all-round support for the team including administrative tasks, writing and editing for both internal and external audiences and channels, and managing communications requests from across the Commission.
The successful candidate will have an eagerness to learn and develop within the role in a supportive and collaborative working environment. You will provide project management and reporting support and be central to effective planning and coordination of our busy work program. You will contribute to the delivery and evaluation of wide-ranging communications strategies and assist in the production of quality content and products.
