Job descriptionEL 1 Data Management Officer in our Smarter Data Program business area, you'll manage and govern aspects of the data and information lifecycle, being responsible for complex data tasks and project outcomes. This includes governing and managing effective storage, acquisition, retention, preparation, use and sharing, accessibility and destruction of data. EL 2 Data Management Director in our Smarter Data Program business area, you'll drive the development and implementation of leading data management practices across the data lifecycle, ensuring the data is discoverable, accessible and useable while properly governed, ethically acquired, used and shared. You'll lead projects and manage relationships with key partners to support data acquisition and data sharing programs. Adelaide, Box Hill, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Perth or Sydney CBD

In this role, you may advise and support business areas to acquire and manage the data they need in line with the ATO's legal, privacy and governance obligations. You'll also be involved in developing and managing data-related policy and process and data quality management to maximise data availability and use. You'll provide high-level data governance advice on data stores and cloud technology; complex problem solving and issues management.
