Services Australia is seeking a Systems Analysts to support the agency to document business requirements, capture business needs, and design, create, evaluate, and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems.
The Systems Analyst role will be responsible for translating business needs into ICT system requirements and specifications for enhancements. They may propose modifications to the existing systems and processes, or design new systems to meet user needs as expressed in requirements documentation or user stories. This includes designing, analysing and documenting software systems to meet business expectations. Systems Analysts are responsible for writing functional specifications from business requirements.
Main Duties :
Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirementsCreate solution designs and documentation to implement solutions to meet business needsSupport daily operations and monitor performance of business solutionsAdhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvementPerform detailed technical application assessments considering feasibility, resource effort, risks, and benefitsConduct testing activities such as test planning, execution coverage reviews and defect managementCollaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues, solve problems, and ensure effective and timely implementation of projectsUndertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design, and testing documentsReview research, process models and documentation of other staff, providing guidance and feedbackResolve or escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutionsPerform cost analysis activities as requiredManage the life cycle of changes and improvements to systemsSet priorities, manage resources, and assist with the development of work plansMain skills / attributes :
