The Role We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role is critical in supporting strategic decision-making through robust forecasting, insightful financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead the company's forecasting and long-term planning processes, manage the preparation of monthly management accounts and cost centre analysis, and support our capital raising activities. You will also play a key role in managing our employee share ownership plan (ESOP) and supporting broader FP&A and financial operations activities.

Forecasting & Planning Lead the annual budget, reforecast and long-term planning cyclesCollaborate with department heads to consolidate inputs and provide strategic insightDevelop scenario analyses and financial models to support decision-making and board reportingManagement Reporting Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reportingDeliver cost centre analysis and commentary, highlighting key drivers and variancesPartner with cost centre owners to improve cost visibility and financial accountabilityFundraising Support Support the preparation of financial information, investor decks, and due diligence materialsAssist with cap table management and financial modelling for equity / debt scenariosAd Hoc Financial Analysis Perform deep-dive analysis on business performance, unit economics, and operational efficiencySupport commercial and strategic initiatives with financial insight and modellingAssist with board reporting, audit processes, grant reporting and compliance requirementsAdminister and maintain the company's ESOP plan, including option grants, vesting schedules, and reportingAbout You Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline2–4 years' experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or commercial finance (biotech or tech / start-up experience highly regarded but not essential)Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with forecasting tools and accounting systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, etc.)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with stakeholders across all levelsExperience in an established organisation having seen what good looks likeStrong organisational skills and attention to detailComfortable working with and implementing new systems and processesCPA / CA qualification or progression towards one is desirableWhy should you choose Inventia?
