As an Environmental Manager, you will play a key role in the Health, Safety & Environmental team, ensuring the safe delivery of this large civil infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Engineers and Supervisors, developing your skills through environmental impact assessments, monitoring, risk identification, and promoting an environmentally compliant work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Supporting the project team with investigations into significant environmental incidents Assisting with the implementation of the environmental management plan Helping identify and assess project environmental risks Supporting ongoing environmental compliance across multiple sites Spending a significant amount of time on-site working with the team to achieve positive environmental outcomes Managing accurate and up-to-date documentation related to environmental issues, reports, and training To succeed, you should be eager to learn, attentive to detail, and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to communicate effectively with diverse on-site personnel is essential. Previous exposure to construction or civil projects during work placements is preferred but not mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering (majoring in Environmental Engineering) is required. Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are also necessary.
