About Your New Role
This is an audit role to monitor construction of new landscape / open space assets built by the development industry for future ownership by the City. Negotiating quality outcomes is a crucial requirement, as is the ability to identify issues with the design or construct.
In this role you will liaise and work with a wide range of Council personnel, including City of Gold Coast Asset Custodians, statutory authorities, professional consultants, contractors, developers and the general public.

Key Role Responsibilities
Oversee landscape construction in accordance with an approved design from prestart to off maintenance.Manage the City's processes for inspections, bonds, as constructed information and QA package assessment.Provide direction and quality assurance of landscape and environmental management works to ensure assets constructed by the development industry meet required standards and infrastructure requirements.Promote and educate development industry on City processes and requirements by representing the City at site meetings and statutory inspections.Provide guidance on minor redesign of approved drawings to ensure compliance with landscape principles and LDG.

With a passion for the environment and a commitment to delivering service to a high standard, you will bring energy and an ability to work well within a team. This role involves a mix of office-based assessment work and site inspections where you will get to see new development happeningon the Gold Coast. The successful applicant will self-manage significant development projects and exercise a degree of autonomy in decision making.
Ability to perform under pressure and remain calm.Good negotiation skillsSelf-motivated and able to manage own workload.Good record keeping.Adapt and comply with the City's policies and processes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.The ability to foster good working relationships.Be customer focused.A positive and energetic outlook and enjoy working within a team.You will hold a Bachelor Degree of Landscape Design or equivalent knowledge.You will hold a C Class Drivers Licence UnrestrictedYou will hold a General Construction Induction White Card
