Growing strong since 1968, four out of five Flower Power plants have been lovingly grown at their Arborglen nursery, located in Sydney's northwest suburb of Glenorie. Arborglen is Flower Power's wholesale production nursery and supplies all their stores plus a broad range of trade and industry customers. With its production spanning across 55 acres and a range of approximately 5000 plant varieties, Arborglen is one of the Southern Hemisphere's biggest growing nurseries.
Your Role
Reporting to Arborglen's General Manager, the
With a hands-on approach and a team-centric leadership style, you will be accountable for providing strategic direction by attending and actively contributing to any strategic or business planning sessions. Proactive and participative, you will be responsible for all operational aspects of the production department, from relevant planning through to execution, follow-up, and corrective action.
Duties
Your duties will include but not be limited to :
Develop project schedules for new nursery designs and improvement processes
Undertake and oversee the monthly stocktake and forward ordering requirements
Resource allocation & planning
Monitor all production related operations
Report across production facilities, equipment, machinery, and production management
About You
As an adaptable and energetic leader, you will possess well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and motivate a diverse team, as well as engage with individuals at all levels within the company.
With a strong horticultural background, you will have had experience in a similar role and possess an understanding of pest and disease management, nutrition, water quality, irrigation management and a good overall knowledge of machinery and nursery production lines.
