The HSE Manager, together with a team of HSE Partners, shall foster a strong safety culture that aligns with Service Stream's safety vision.

About the role
We are seeking a HSE Manager to provide specialist HSE advice and leadership across the Urban Utilities project. You will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation, managing risks, and supporting operational leaders to achieve HSE excellence. This position involves working closely with business leaders, subcontractors, and field teams to uphold Service Stream's safety vision, values and operational standards.
Your ability to lead teams, manage risks effectively, and drive a proactive safety culture will be critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide specialist HSE advice to operational leaders, ensuring alignment with Service Stream's safety vision and policies.Lead and develop a high-performing safety team, establishing clear performance expectations and professional development plans.Collaboratively work with Urban Utilities and project key stakeholders to facilitate the management of safety related risks and the implantation of effective controls.Conduct site visits and field leadership activities to ensure visibility and adherence to safety standards.Oversee risk management processes, including safety compliance, hazard identification, and corrective action implementation.Manage incident investigations and ensuring timely reporting.Drive continuous improvement through audits, inspections, and safety management system enhancements.Coaching of Operational Staff in relation to their safety management obligations.About you :
Demonstrated experience in a similar HSE leadership role within infrastructure maintenance, construction, civil works, or mining industries.8+ years of experience in a senior safety related role.Strong working knowledge of legislation, standards, codes of practice, and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001; and the Office of the federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Accreditation.Strong communication skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Programs.Minimum Qualifications :
Advanced Diploma of WHS or equivalent.Incident Investigation Qualified - preferably ICAM Lead Investigator.Lead Auditor certification in either of WHS, Environment, or Quality.Return to Work training.Valid current Australian Full Driver's Licence.About Us
