- OVERVIEW
With a focus to enhance and ingrain the HSE function, whilst facilitating ownership of Safety, Health and Environment facets, the key objective will be to partner effectively across the business to build capability and participation at all levels. In addition, you will be responsible for driving management systems, influence ongoing cultural engagement and strategy design.
Ideally demonstrating a background in manufacturing / heavy industry and evidenced capacity and capability to influence across multiple sites, you will thrive on the hands-on nature of what you do and the platform to mentor and coach employees.
- SCOPE
- Identification of training needs across the group;
- Provision of expert advice to the Leadership Team and Board to support solid governance;
- Managing the implementation of all HSE policies;
- Driving excellent environmental management outcomes;
- Leading Safety, System, Site and Regulator audits;
- Supporting the design and implementation of a strong safety culture + related activities across all locations and layers;
- Supporting all individuals to meet their obligations under relevant legislation, via coaching, training, reporting and assurance activities;
- Proactive management of Worker's Compensation claims;
- Direction and oversight on all Health, Safety and Environmental matters to management including, compliance, incident response and investigation, emergency preparedness, training, licensing, inspections and other assurance activities;
- Other duties include but are no means limited to; site toolboxes, committee programs, investigations, reporting, register maintenance, risk identification, development + execution of safety plans, data capture for ongoing improvement and RTC Coordination across multiple sites.
- SUCCESS PROFILE
- Essential
- 5 years'+ as a senior Safety, Health and Environment specialist_ (preferably within manufacturing or related vertical)_;
- Tertiary qualification / s in Health, Safety & Environment _(or related discipline)_;
- Ability to regularly travel to various sites across Queensland.
- Desired
- Previous experience in the agricultural industry _(advantageous);_
- Exposure to ISO standards and compliance;
- Auditor Qualification;
- ICAM Certification;
- Workplace Rehabilitation Coordinator Accreditation.
