Accounts Payable Officer

Based in our Osborne Park office and reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of our Finance team contributing to the Accounts Payable team. You will have the opportunity to interact with internal and external stakeholders within the West Australian Newspaper Group and your strong work ethic will support the continued success of the Accounts Payable team.

• About the role

Key responsibilities of the role include the following tasks :

• Distributing invoices for approval and coding
• Processing and entering invoices into the procurement system, while ensuring accuracy of purchase orders, GL costing and authorizations
• Managing and processing expense claims and travel requests
• Creating bank entries files and payments and issuing remittances after payment
• Ensuring creditors accounts are reconciled and timely payment of all creditors
• Resolving internal and external queries through effective communication
• Assisting with other ad-hoc finance related activities as required
• About You
• 3-5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable environment
• Experience with high volume invoice processing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Ability to work as part of the team and autonomously
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
