Overview

CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Chief Officer to join our transhipment vessel, Donnacona on a roster schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This vessel operates in Cape Preston, Western Australia and is a 24 / 7 operation for our customer : CITIC Pacific Mining. Reporting to the Master, the Chief Officer is the head of the Deck Department.

How will you contribute to our success?

The Chief Officer Will Be Responsible For

Designated safety officer;The safe and efficient planning of cargo and ballast handling operations;Providing guidance and support to the Deck Officers including Deck Cadets;Having comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance and repair needs of the deck and throughout the accommodation;Assuming Masters responsibilities and command of the vessel in the absence of the Master.

The Skills You Will Bring To Our Team

AMSA Chief Officer COC / COR Unlimited (required)Education Requirement : As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory)Technical Requirement : minimum 5 years sea time as a Watchkeeper Deck (mandatory)STCW regulation II / 2MSIC Card (required)Australian Citizen or hold a valid Australian working visa without working restrictionsLiving in an Australian state (required)

Be able to wear a respirator while on deck
