ACARA is seeking a skilled Senior Project Officer to help deliver key national assessment programs, including NAPLAN and NAP Sample projects. In this pivotal role, you will manage and monitor the delivery of national assessment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders—including contractors, states and territories, and education authorities—you will contribute to the delivery of key assessments such as NAPLAN and NAP Sample projects. Your responsibilities include applying project management principles, supporting procurement and contract management processes, coordinating project deliverables, and supporting continuous improvement activities within Field Operations.

Key responsibilities include : Coordinating the delivery of projects and project components for national assessment programs. Managing contractor performance and stakeholder relationships. Applying project management tools and frameworks to monitor progress, risks, and deliverables. Supporting procurement, contract development, and administration processes. Coordinating the development of test administration and support materials. Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and operations within Field Operations. To succeed in this role, you will bring : Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Sound knowledge of contract management and procurement processes. ACARA offers an attractive salary package dependent on skills and experience, starting at $123,964 per annum (plus superannuation).
