About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Officer to join our team in our Perth Regional Operations Centre.
Our Operations Centre is the central hub of communication, playing a vital role in connecting our bases, engineering teams, flight crews, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. If you have experience in a fast-paced, high-demand operational or service delivery environment, we’d love to hear from you. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a high standard of service while driving continuous improvement, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely dispatch and monitoring of all flights.
Reporting to the Operations Centre Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Operations Centre and the Company’s flight operations. The role is available on a permanent, full-time contract on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, based in our Perth Head Office (please note this is not a FIFO role).
Responsibilities of the role include :
Coordination and dispatch of all scheduled and unscheduled flights.Coordinate Medevac and Search and Rescue (SAR) taskings, ensuring 24 / 7 coverage and timely response to emergency operations.Maintain continuous flight following, including monitoring of departure and arrival times, and ensure consistent radio communication with flight crews and offshore facilities.Assess crew and aircraft availability, alongside environmental and operational constraints, to support our Senior Base Pilots and Senior Base Engineers in developing and executing daily flight schedules.Proactively identify and address potential disruptions to the flight schedule, communicating any impacts promptly and professionally to clients.Assist in confirming and delivering passenger manifests to flight crews, ensuring accurate documentation of all passengers, baggage, cargo, and freight.Report delays or aircraft issues to internal stakeholders and ensure clients and external stakeholders are kept informed of any impacts in a timely and professional manner.To be considered for this role, you will need :
Demonstrated experience working in a high-demand operational or customer service environment within Aviation, Mining, Emergency Services, Oil and Gas, or similar.A high level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of your work.Exceptional computer skills and the ability to operate multiple computer applications efficiently and accurately.Proven experience in multitasking and making optimal decisions under time pressure.An Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) with practical experience using VHF / HF radio systems, a strong understanding of radio protocols, and proficiency in the phonetic alphabet will be highly regarded.A Certificate in Dangerous Goods Awareness or Acceptance (by Air) is advantageous.Must be eligible to reside and work in Australia.About you :
