PERTHTHE OPPORTUNITYThe opportunityWe are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Perth office on an 18 month Maximum Term Contract.
You will be working closely with the Legal Assistants to provide entry level administrative support to legal and business services staff to enhance the client experience.
- Your duties will include a wide range of tasks including
- Providing administrative support to the legal teams;
- Planning for and delivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines and competing priorities;
- Scanning, printing or photocopying relevant documents as required by the legal teams;
- Liaising with business services and other services to coordinate urgent mail and courier requests;
- Filing documents and archiving files;
- Assisting with database management;
- Assisting lawyers with petty cash requests, currency requests and expense claims in a timely manner; and
- Assisting with organising internal and external events.
- SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- To be successful in this role you will need the following skills
- Have customer service experience;
- Typing speed minimum of 45wpm with 95% accuracy.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability in building effective and trusting relationships with people.
- Tertiary qualification in business administration (desirable).

Our Office Operations function plays a central role in managing our working environment and the services within it, so that practice areas can serve their clients to the best of their ability. That goes beyond just ensuring that professionals have the client-facing and office services and equipment they need. It's about ensuring that every space around our global network serves its purpose effectively, whether that's an office, a breakout area or a conference room.
The team also makes sure that all-important legal documents are where they need to be through the mailroom and courier services, as well as overseeing document archival and retrieval. Our Office Operations function includes Procurement, Building Operations, Document Production, Business Continuity and Client Services & Travel teams.
