Wa State Integrity Manager

The Team : The Sports Partnerships Team engages with key sport sector stakeholders, primarily National Sport Organisations (NSOs) and National Sporting Organisations for People with Disability (NSODs), to support in building their integrity and anti-doping capability, meeting compliance requirements and coordinating responses to integrity threats. The Team builds and maintains a comprehensive understanding of each stakeholder and identifies risks, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening capability, and ensures all areas of Sport Integrity Australia are informed and a coordinated engagement approach is delivered.

The Role : The State Integrity Manager will engage with key state-based stakeholders, primarily State Sporting Associations (SSAs) and State Sporting Associations for People with Disability (SSADs), state government agencies and sector bodies. The purpose of the role is to increase the awareness of Sport Integrity Australia's functions, support SSA / SSAD's to implement national policies in WA, increase their integrity capability and respond appropriately to integrity matters that arise.

The role will play a key role in connecting and aligning the work of key partners including sport advocacy groups, state government agencies, State Minister's Office and any other key partners or agencies relevant to the priorities of Sport Integrity Australia. The role will represent the agency at relevant forums and will identify opportunities to meet with key stakeholders, deliver education and develop supporting resources.

The key duties of the position include : The key duties for this position include : Lead and engage with WA SSA / SSADs regarding the understanding and adoption of the National Integrity Framework and Sport Integrity Policy Standards.Support WA SSA's and SSAD's to successfully implement integrity policy responsibilities and requirements.Achieve alignment and collaboration between key agencies including but not limited to, the WA Minister's Office, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC), SportWest and SSAs / SSADs.Attend and represent Sport Integrity Australia in WA across all relevant forums and meetings.Promote awareness of SIA's activities, facilitate education sessions with WA SSAs / SSADs as required, and promote Play by the Rules in WA.Coordinate alignment between state legislation, laws and policy bodies and the work of Sport Integrity Australia.Foster and contribute to a culturally safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Tertiary qualification / s or demonstrated relevant experience is desirable.Demonstrated understanding of sport integrity initiatives and application in the Western Australian context.Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.Proven strategic thinking and the ability to align strategy with operational activities, analysis and insights to enable positive outcomes.Proven ability to work independently or under limited guidance and exercise judgement to make decisions with integrity, initiative, drive and adaptability.Demonstrated ability to influence, drive change and achieve results.Demonstrated personal qualities of integrity, initiative, drive and adaptability, and experience in implementing sound management practices. EligibilityUnder section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the agency delegate has agreed, in writing. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting Security Clearance and Working with Vulnerable People Card and may be required to undergo a medical assessment. Sport Integrity Australia staff must comply with security (physical, personnel and IT) security controls and mandatory training.
