Job Description Summary
Service Stream is currently looking for an Incident Response Service Officer in Perth.
About the Role
- Provide site attendance at incidents on a first response basis and make an initial assessment as to the appropriate and proven incident response actions required to protect road users as a result of the incident and return traffic flow to normal operation in liaison with any emergency services that may also be responding.
- Ensure RNOC is kept updated on any statuses of incidents on a regular basis.
- Undertake patrols on approved routes during the required times including but not limited to :
- Driving the route
- Identifying any incident or potential incident that could affect driver safety or impede the flow of traffic
- Identifying any road anomalies and respond to or carry out relevant works required
- Proactively respond to all incidents in accordance with all policies, procedures, SWMs and SWI's.
- Ensure attendance at all mandatory training.
- Ensure the collection and provision of all road traffic intelligence to Road Network Operations Centre (RNOC).
- Provide stakeholder engagement to increase incident response and road user education.
- Removal of debris within the road network in accordance with relevant Safe Work Instructions.
- Ensure the recording of details of all incidents and events that IRS attend within the Job and Asset Management Systems (JAMS) and Main Roads incident Management System - WebEOC.
- Ensure an exceptional level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders at all times.
- Ensuring the maintenance of a safe work environment for yourself, your colleagues and the general public.
- Ensuring the continuous dynamic risk assessment and utilisation of the risk and escalation tool for all incidents attended.
- Ensuring comprehensive pre-starts conducted on all shifts.
- Ensuring the escalation of incidents in accordance with incident response procedures.
- Ensuring vehicle cleanliness and uniform minimum standards policies are adhered to.
- Ensuring readiness for shift start time.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety management procedures
- Provide assistance with additional and alternative duties as required including but not limited to the following :
- Assistance within Tunnel Operations where required
- Provide assistance to IRSS with the investigation and resolution of complaints
- Developing and maintaining strong, effective working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
