- What are we looking for?
An exciting and newly created opportunity is now available for an experienced Event Manager to join our Melbourne Office. This role is a full-time contract position for 12 months with potential to be extended. We are offering flexible work arrangements and hybrid home and office, however, from time to time this role will be required to attend work at Office.
Events play an important part in the culture and brand of our organisation. As such, as Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, social events, and other special occasions.
This role involves managing all aspects of event planning from conception to execution, ensuring that events run smoothly and meet the objectives of the organisation and stakeholders.
Key responsibilitiesin this position will include :Responsibility for the successful coordination and execution of events in line with the firms Strategic PlanWorking closely with the Executive Leadership team and key stakeholders to understand the brief of each eventFacilitate and manage event logistics including the agenda format, from first contact, dietaries, venue preparation, entertainment, event execution and breakdown - through to post event follow upOversee event budget in consultation with the Executive Assistant team, ensuring financial efficiency and profitabilityEvent PlanningSupporting the business with the coordination and planning of multiple functions and events.Capacity to plan and deliver events from 25 and up to 400 guests independently.Effectively manage the often-competing demands of clients and stakeholders whilst ensuring event documentation is completed within the desired timeframe.Assist the Executive Assistant Event team and key internal stakeholders with the production of event-related documentation and provide assistance as necessary in relation to the staging of events.Event DeliveryPerform a lead role at events, with support from Executive Assistant team and other internal key stakeholders.Display the firms' values in all interactions and bring the values to life at events with the event delivery ensuring standards, roles, and responsibilities are understood and delivered.Support implementation of improvement projects and initiatives at events.Strategic Organisational ProjectsSeek to understand different client requirements to tailor specific customer outcomes, including using business data to drive continual improvement.Identify areas of improvement and efficiencies in the operational event planning process.Support a proactive approach to Safety through event planning and delivery, with a focus on early hazard reporting and management.What will you bring?Key to your success in this role, you will have the following skills, capabilities, qualifications and experience :
QualificationsQualification in Event Planning (or similar)Proven applied experience working in the industry in an Event Manager role (highly desirable)ExperienceAt least 5+ years in a similar position and within a professional services environmentProven experience in planning and coordinating events, preferably at a scale of 350+ eventsEvent delivery experience in front and back of house areasSignificant industry experience delivering Events (highly desirable)SkillsSuperior communication and time management skillsAttention to detail and thorough planningOrganisational skillsStrong stakeholder relationshipsProficiency of Project Planning / Micr
