About the Role :
Location : Perth - minimum 4 days a fortnight from state office
Hours : Full -Time (.8 FTE can be considered)
Status : Permanent

Key Responsibilities
The Sector Support & Development Officer supports Western Australias member engagement advocacy and sector development activities. Activities will include :
- Develop broad networks and liaise with disability sector senior executive managers team leaders and front-line workers to identify current and emerging sector support and development trends and issues.
- Deliver high quality sector support and development activities and initiatives including providing timely responses to enquiries on-line and in person sector forums and / or other engagement & networking opportunities
- Monitor feedback from stakeholders that allows NDS to adapt and provide sector responsive services and initiatives.
- Contribute to policy discussions and advice on an array of issues impacting on Western Australian disability service providers.
- Represent NDS professionally at government meetings industry forums networks and sector collaborations and effectively present information on issues impacting Western Australian service providers.
- Establish (when applicable) apply and buddy staff in the systems and processes for managing the Western Australian NDS engagement infrastructure.
- Organise and support NDS member and sector meetings forums workshops and service provider networks.
- Draft updates briefings reports minutes and submissions relevant to NDS sector support project work and Western Australian disability service providers.
- Lead the development of the Western Australian newsletters and updates identifying content and ensuring the newsletter is of high quality.
- Contribute to internal and external communications activities.
- Champion the use of the NDS CRM to relevant Western Australian staff and facilitate buddying to enable their use. Update the CRM for sector engagement activities.
- Utilise internal systems and scrutinise external data to support effective running of engagement and project activities.
- Produce accurate data and high-quality reports to suit the requirements of state NDS activities.
- Keep up-to-date with technology tools (ie Zoom Teams Humantix) and applications to support engagement delivery.
- Contribute where appropriate to broader NDS project and policy work. Identify and share existing resources best practice examples provide updates and contribute to project outcomes.

Skills & Experience :
Effective interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to communicate consult present and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders and within a team environment.Demonstrated ability to write clear accurate and cogent reports briefings news and policy articles and presentations in a manner appropriate to a range of stakeholders.Track record in managing and delivering projects and meeting deadlines.Strong knowledge of contemporary issues facing disability service providers in WA.Strong organisational skills and the proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Experience using online applications ( e.g. CRM) to manage data and generate reports as well as strong capacity in using Microsoft applications and video conferencing tools.Excellent analytical skills and ability to use systems thinking to identify solutions.Demonstrates a can-do collaborative and flexible approach.Able to function independently show initiative as well as take direction.A qualification in a related discipline is required.What We Offer :
