The role

ALS Geochemistry requires a Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Stafford, Brisbane .

Responsibilities include :

• Undertake Laboratory activities which may include but are not limited to the operation of analytical instruments such as AAS, XRF, ICPAES, ICPMS or other as applicable
• Follow applicable analytical methods and published procedures without unapproved deviation, error, or supervision
• Conduct activities to relevant quality standards while throughput targets are met
• Troubleshoot to identify analytical test result anomalies for sample type or behaviour
• Perform housekeeping duties to applicable standards
• Manage consumables so that inventory is not exhausted
• Appropriate equipment / instrument maintenance and / or calibration management to ensure such infrastructure remains fit for purpose.
