We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic leader to join our team as Business Development Manager, overseeing our largest vertical with a workforce of over 150 staff.
Role Overview As a Business Development Manager – Quality Engineering & Testing at Informatech, you will lead Federal sector engagement. You will also drive commercial growth by establishing strategic partnerships with consulting Primes. You will focus on solution-based selling and the growth of strategic accounts. Additionally, you will assist in uplifting and supporting the broader BD team as we enhance our consulting-led approach.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy. You will mentor others, open new revenue streams, and collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure the quality of client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities : Client & Market Development
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in Federal Government departments
- Identify and secure new business opportunities aligned with Informatech's service offerings
- Expand Informatech's presence through partnerships with major Primes
- Navigate complex procurement models, panels, and teaming arrangements
Account & Opportunity Management
Manage key client accounts across the Federal and commercial sectorsQualify, shape, and convert leads into long-term engagementsCoordinate proposal development, pricing, and tender responsesCollaborate with delivery leads to ensure feasibility and alignmentMentoring & Internal Uplift
Coach the broader BDM team on consulting sales techniques and capability mappingSupport the development of peers transitioning into broader solution-based salesRun joint sales calls, review pipelines, and lead learning sessionsCandidate & Staff Coordination
Work with Recruitment Consultants to align candidates with client requirementsEnsure smooth onboarding and performance tracking of placed staffManage ongoing relationships and commercial discussions with embedded consultantsCRM & Reporting
Record all relevant activities in Informatech's CRMMaintain accurate pipeline, contact, and deal information to support business intelligence and forecastingTo be successful, you will have :
5+ years of business development or account management in Federal consulting or ICT servicesExperience in software engineering, particularly in testing and quality engineeringExperience working with or selling into government departments and panelsStrong commercial awareness and networks across major PrimesConfidence in selling offerings, not just individualsPrevious mentoring or leadership of sales staff is a strong advantageStrong written and verbal communication skillsPerformance expectations
