The role
Brighton Grammar School invites applications for the key leadership role of Deputy Head of Junior School, to commence in January 2026. Reporting to the Deputy Headmaster / Head of Junior School and serving as a member of the Junior School Leadership Team, the role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and effective operation of Prep to Year 6.
In order to thrive at Brighton Grammar School, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate :
Post graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline focusing on leadership (preferred) and / or research.Experience in a significant leadership role ideally within boys' education.Current knowledge of appropriate content, research and pedagogy relevant to student and staff learning outcomes.Current knowledge of curriculum, educational trends, schooling practices and policy developments as they relate to the education sector.A proven track record of success in leading, mentoring and guiding a team to achieve successful outcomes.Up-to-date knowledge of relevant compliance requirements and regulations.The ability to operate within a senior management team and flexibility to work cross functionally to meet School goals and objectives.Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.VIT Registration is essential for this position.
