We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Administrator to join a growing team and support the day to day operations of the freight department.
- Monday to Friday 8.00am-4pm
- Manage an import and export team of 3-4 people
- Commencing as soon as possible
- The roles will be responsible but not limited to
- Model leadership and delegate effectively, ensure knowledge sharing amongst team
- Manage performance of team / individuals
- Supervise the efficient retrieval and processing of documentation and freight to ensure optimum delivery times
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal / external clients / stakeholders
- Provide timely and accurate assistance, ensure customer client satisfaction and freight requirements are met
- Ensure that shipments are registered prior to or on day of arrival, latest 1 day after arrival
- Supervise the processing of transactions to ensure speed, accuracy and improved service
- Take the lead on new processes in relation to "paperless processes" in AI to ensure all objectives are met and address with origins failing to upload required documents into global platform O&DM system.
- Monitor electronic customs reports to ensure that reports are made on time. Advise overseas agents when they fail to supply data in a timely manner and maintain 95% CMR compliance on air cargo
- Rectify issues appear in weekly ABF compliance report for all Air cargo automation issues.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, greater than 95% (no. of invoices vs no of CN / ST total credit notes & stornos divided by total no of invoices issued in ECO Month)
- Guide AI team to deal with all possible issues that can arise with CTOs & outside agents to avoid storage.
- Training staff to ensure they understand company liability & obligation to AU Customs, when it comes to wrong freight receivables from CTOs, damages & missing cargo etc.
- Quote competitive DAP / DDP rates to overseas offices to assist to win ad hoc shipments.

- Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Freight Forwarding industry, all aspects of procedures and or in similar role
- Previous experience with customer relationship management
- Drivers Licence
- Microsoft Office and Outlook
