Tyrecycle has a rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate Operations Manager to join our state-of-the-art tyre recycling facility located in Erskine Park, Sydney. This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring safe, efficient production and delivering high-quality products that meet our customers’ needs.
Your responsibilities include :
- Providing a safe workplace by ensuring Work, Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements are met in line with Tyrecycle’s WH&S Management Systems, relevant Emergency and regulatory plans
- Scheduling production and container movements to maximise output whilst minimising cost and ensuring customer loading / unloading times are within operating standards
- Regular review and improvement of production efficiency, Overall Equipment Effectiveness – availability, Performance and quality outcomes
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs are monitored, improved and developed to maximise equipment availability
- Manage cost improvement projects utilising effective procurement, purchasing and quotation processes to maintain Tyrecycle’s competitive advantage
- Manage the operating performance of your team, provide staff induction, training, succession planning and career development
- Contractor management and compliance in accordance with Tyrecycle’s policies and procedures
- Oversee the administrative function ensuring production and management reporting requirements are met
Skills and experience :
5 years experience in a similar factory manufacturing environmentDemonstrated knowledge and experience in WH&SExperience managing operational costs, ability to prioritise and achieve resultsExperience working within a customer focussed environmentValid driver’s licenceExposure to the recycling industryRelevant bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance, highly regardedExperience with LEAN manufacturing techniquesWho we are :
