About the Business Unit
The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria (CV), Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
CV is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
CV also sets strategy, policy and standards for the management of the state's system of correctional facilities whilst also developing programs for the management and rehabilitation of prisoners and the community-based supervision of offenders. As part of the CJS group, the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) is a 568-bed medium to maximum-security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Area, Department of Justice and Community Safety.
About the Role
The Operational Support Coordinator is a key role within the Operations Managers office at the DPFC and is responsible for preparing correspondence on behalf of the Senior Operations Manager, collating documents to respond to various requests, providing advice for the preparation of high level briefings relating to incidents and assisting the Executive Team in the production of Monthly Reporting requirements.
Duties include investigating various issues, preparing meeting papers and minute taking, data entry, TRIM and other Microsoft packages. The Operations Support Officer is also responsible for preparing correspondence and collating documents to respond to various requests.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
