Title : Field Service Technician - Mechanical Primary Function : To carry out workshop repairs and services to customer and LiftRite equipment, as well as on-site repairs and services. Key Responsibilities : Fault finding, repairs, and servicing of customer and LiftRite industrial equipment, including but not limited to : Diesel and petrol engines Diesel, petrol, and LPG fuel systems Transmissions – hydrostatic, power shift, and manual Brake systems Hydraulic valves and cylinders Electrical starting, charging, and accessories Service and repair the hire fleet to a high standard Account for parts used on jobs by ensuring they are entered on service / repair reports Ensure unused parts are credited back to stock at job completion Complete repair and service reports to required standards Document any items requiring attention while servicing equipment and report to the customer as needed Complete repairs and services within reasonable timeframes Repair and service the hire fleet as directed Process workshop service / repair documentation daily Present yourself professionally at all times Be available to attend call-outs and country trips as required Ensure the security of stock, tools, and equipment of LiftRite Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and safe condition, if allocated Work safely, using PPE, complying with health and safety legislation, and reporting hazards Follow established workplace policies and procedures Advise on non-compliance, rectify issues, and suggest solutions Perform other duties as assigned Responsible to : Field Service Supervisor
Limits to Authority : Apprentices and / or Tradesperson's Assistant, if required
Experience / Qualifications Required : Ability to perform tasks and order materials to complete service or repair to satisfaction of LiftRite and the customer
