Reporting to our Payroll Manager, you will be working closely with our Payroll Manager processing the payroll across 3 employing entities and working on the implementation of our new payroll and workforce management system.
- Key Responsibilities
- Administering the end-to-end fortnightly and monthly payroll for 200+ employees in a growing business,
- Maintaining confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Maintain and update employee records and payroll related documentation in electronic form.
- Administer payroll reporting obligations, including superannuation STP reporting, Payroll tax and third party disbursements.
- Ensuring compliance with all payroll legislation and applicable laws.
- Provide insights and recommendations on continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide essential support to the finance team where required around payroll journals and costings.
- Assisting with the implementation of our new payroll system.
- Provide essential support to the operations team where required.
This is a Fixed-Term, Full Time Contract approximately 6 - 10 months in duration. - Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- A finance or payroll related qualification will be highly regarded
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, ideally with multi-award / EBA experience and working with an end-to-end rostering, timesheet and payroll system.
- Ability to handle priorities and tasks with accuracy and outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to learn and understand new systems and processes quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with an emphasis on excel experience.
- Project management and / or system implementation experience a plus
- Experience with Definitiv payroll will be highly regarded
