What this job involves
The Marketing & Communication Specialist is a 10-month parental cover role.
Based in Western Australia (WA), this role is a key driver of growth within our WA business and covers many areas of marketing and communications. Implement across a wide area including internal and external communications (including media), major events, collateral development / distribution, website content management, as well as being the main contact for property marketing in WA. The position works seamlessly with our national marketing platform, supporting with the delivery of demand generation and awareness campaigns, as well as assisting with national brand activation.
The position will build on our national marketing platform and identify new channels and communication campaigns for success.
Marketing (60%)
Execute on the WA marketing and communications plan, ensuring it is always aligned with national business line marketing plans, focussed on growth in local revenue and market share
Localise national, regional and global campaigns by identifying WA case studies, media angles, social media content, event and sponsorship opportunities and profile local business leaders
One JLL - a client centric approach drawing on analytics and insights to match specific client needs to JLL's solutions. Ensure JLL is seen as the advisor of choice for a range of our key audience groups including real estate investors, developers, landlords, corporates and government bodies. The creation of engaging and relevant content is key.
National Brand - responsible for supporting the development of strategies to elevate and amplify the JLL brand and build brand equity; implementing activations, communications and collateral across touchpoints ensuring the seamless alignment between global / regional / national teams.
Communications (25%)
Media - Help to maintain and / or grow our share of voice in the media and improve diversity of channels beyond traditional print. Be the main escalation point for WA based reputational issues, draft media announcements, drive key journalist relationships and monitor number of press hits for JLL and other competitor firms.
Drive state internal communications, including managing director announcements, strategy, planning, execution, systems and processes. This includes working with local colleagues including EAs and other state marketers to align messaging
Property marketing and pursuits (15%)
Be the main contact for property marketing in WA, ensuring alignment with national platform, stability, effectiveness and innovation
Strategy and some content support for high-profile sales and leasing campaigns and submissions the business undertakes.
General
Work closely with marketing and communications team members across Australia and the region to drive synergy and exchange of best practices
Working across a diverse range of leaders in WA to agree on priority marketing initiatives that will drive revenue and margin growth, and also articulating the value of our contribution
Ensure that all marketing and communications in WA adhere to the new JLL brand guidelines, including tone of voice, and train others in this
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring, optimising and reporting back on all activity to ensure business stakeholders are kept informed and ROI is captured
Be a key influencer within the business to progress CRM usage and adoption, focussed on integration and governance to support marketing automation and attribution

Any other responsibilities as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
4 years'+ experience in marketing and communications
Tertiary qualified in Marketing, Communications, Digital or Journalism
Strong project management skills and strong attention to detail
Good understanding of digital marketing, social media and print / production processes is an added advantage
Demonstrated ability to champion change and influence and facilitate results
