The Allied Health Workforce Unit aims to : 1. Strengthen the allied health workforce and leadership group so the Allied Health directorate can achieve its strategic, business, and quality objectives. 2. Support the allied health workforce to deliver safe, high quality, and efficient allied health services that enable the clinical programs to meet their operational demands 3. Build capability across the allied health workforce within the six domains of the Professional Practice Framework 4. Integrate data and systemic knowledge with a progressive, flexible and sustainable approach to enable the allied health workforce to be influential and responsive to the changing needs of the healthcare environment 5. Drive continuous quality improvement that is informed by research, education & training and the use of information systems The Position Summary The Project Officer – Allied Health Workforce supports the Allied Health Workforce Lead to undertake strategic projects within Allied Health to progress service improvement. Using improvement science principles and robust project management methodology, the Project Officer will contribute to the design, implementation, reporting and evaluation of Allied Health projects that drive the operationalisation of the 2024-2030 Allied Health Strategic Plan. Skills and Qualifications Required
- Degree or equivalent in an Allied Health Discipline
- Post-graduate qualifications (or working towards) at Masters level in a clinical area or health services management / administration / business management
- Experience in project management and proven ability to lead projects
- Experience managing and providing leadership to quality and safety projects
- Registered or eligible for professional membership if a self-regulated Allied Health profession via the relevant professional body Staff Benefits
