The Position

We are searching for a Procurement Officer who will be responsible for :

Supports purchasing team with purchasing of goods and services in compliance with Purchasing strategy and Procurement & Purchasing Management PlanPrepare Purchase Orders according to the Purchase requisitionFollow up of the supply chain until the goods are delivered on site when neededPrepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.Key Skills & Knowledge

Computing Skills with capabilities in using Microsoft Office Word & ExcelAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively within strict timeframesAbility to work under limited supervision and achieve established routine assignmentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate across the organisation at all levelsGood interpersonal skills to maintain relationships and coordinate internal and external stakeholder (Engineers, Foremen, suppliers)Sound written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrates sound organisational and time management skillsQualification & Experience

1-5 years of experienceExperience in a Purchasing / supply chain management departmentCompetencies include : Customer Focus, Planning & Organising, Verbal Communication, Written CommunicationThis is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and play your part in building Australia's future.
