Make a real impact at SJGHC by becoming our next Payroll Professional.
You will be responsible for providing a critical end-to-end payroll service for our extensive network of 16000 caregivers across all hospitals and services ensuring they are accurately paid on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
The Position
Understand interpret and process payroll work throughout the employee lifecycle.
Understand and apply standard payroll practices such as :
Read and interpret tax tables
Superannuation SGC voluntary contributions clearing house etc.
Processing of termination / redundancy payments
All leave types (Ann LSL Personal Parental etc) and accruals
Have a functional understanding of legislation for example FWA / NES Superannuation Guarantee Ruling LSL Acts
Interpret code and process timesheets into the payroll system in a logical and accurate manner.
Work within all legislative requirements.
Maintain accurate records and caregiver files.
Respond to a broad range of payroll enquiries and needs in a well-rounded accurate and timely manner.
Resolve queries / complaints to a high standard.
Undertake specific projects as directed
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and associated activities coupled with significant experience in interpreting industrial awards enterprise agreements and payroll-related legislation. Youll be adept at applying this knowledge to accurately interpret code and key high volumes of timesheets.
We value excellent communication skills strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to maintain high-quality organisational standards and attention to detail while working efficiently under pressure. A practical understanding of computerised payroll / HR systems is essential along with experience with Ascender Pay.

We can offer you
Salary $79060 to $87204 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
Permanent fulltime position working 76 hours a fortnight
Located in Kings Square Perth CBD office
