About The Role

  • Process fortnightly payroll through Preceda.
  • Assist in formulating, implementing, and maintaining payroll strategies, systems, and processes.
  • Investigate and resolve pay discrepancies, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Provide timely advice to staff and management on payroll-related matters.
  • Assist in creating materials for induction and development programs.
  • Generate periodic reports to meet business needs – fortnightly, monthly, and annually.
  • Analyze data, perform reconciliations, and conduct system health checks.
  • Maintain databases, including regular data integrity checks.
  • Liaise with third parties regarding team member details as needed.

About You

  • Have 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a medium to large organization.
  • Good understanding of General Retail Industry Awards.
  • Experience with high-volume payroll processing (800-1000 employees) and month-end reconciliations.
  • Experience with Kronos, Preceda, or E-tivity is desirable.
  • Experience with New Zealand payroll processing is highly regarded.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, and data entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to initiate process improvements.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a large team environment to meet deadlines.
