About the Role As the Head of Health and Safety, you will report directly into the Chief Strategy & Risk Officer, and be the key business partner for all HSE matters across Strait Link.
You will lead the execution of our established safety plan, drive continuous improvement in our safety performance, and embed risk management into day-to-day activities.
Working closely with our compliance and operations teams, you'll ensure that safety remains a top priority across every part of our logistics network.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Drive execution of Strait Link's safety plan across shipping terminals, vessels, and logistics operations.
Lead risk management processes to proactively identify, assess, and control workplace hazards.
Manage and continuously improve HSE systems to support safety performance and reporting.
Provide expert guidance and leadership on compliance with health and safety legislation, standards, and internal policies.
Partner with operations leaders and compliance teams to ensure integrated, consistent safety practices across the business.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Support cultural development initiatives to engage frontline teams and promote safety leadership at all levels.
About You Extensive experience in a senior HSE role, ideally within transport, logistics, maritime, or industrial sectors.
Degree qualified in Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
Strong understanding of HSE legislation, systems, and risk management frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across multi-site, operational environments.
Proven experience managing, implementing, and improving HSE systems and reporting platforms.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
