As a Mechanical Engineer (known in the Navy as a Marine Engineer Officer), you'll be the ship's technical expert on marine systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring the ship's mechanical engineering plant runs smoothly across power, propulsion and auxiliary systems. You will be a trusted member of the ship's Command Team providing technical advice and recommendations so that the mission can be achieved.In this dynamic engineering role, you'll be given a lot of responsibility early in your career.
